Munger Mountain Elementary
School
Munger Mountain Elementary School is a dual‑immersion K–5 facility designed to serve more than 480 students, with an overall capacity of 588. This much‑needed addition provides critical elementary space for Teton County School District #1, supporting the district’s continued growth.
The building’s design emphasizes strong connections to the surrounding natural environment while fostering collaboration through shared art, science, and media spaces. Flexible learning areas are integrated throughout the school, allowing fluid movement between classrooms and supporting both student interaction and faculty teamwork. Additional features include a cafeteria and a dual‑function multipurpose room that also serves as the school’s gymnasium.
Sustainability and safety were central to the project. Solar‑ready infrastructure supports long‑term energy efficiency, while enhanced security measures—including secure entrance vestibules, strategically placed bullet‑resistant glazing, and classroom layouts designed to maximize safe zones during lockdowns—address the unique needs of Teton County and its community.
